Wednesday Morning

“This is fucking nuts” Kiyana muttered as she placed her head in her hands. Her house was in absolute chaos this morning. Kairo was teething so he was grumpier than normal and Kamari and Kaiden were upset that their dad wasn’t there.  Since Josh was getting more popular within the WWE Universe, he was starting to get requested to do more WWE Live tours.   He had left Monday night for the UK while he did tell the boys that he wouldn’t be home until Friday, it must’ve slipped their tiny minds. 

Kamari and Kaiden  had rushed down the stairs after brushing their teeth only to find the downstairs guest bedroom empty. Kiyna watched with bated breath as their little feet ran into the kitchen, their little faces scrunched up in confusion, looking exactly like carbon copies of their father. Kamari looked towards the glass sliding doors, his eyes widening as if he had a eureka moment and dashed towards the door, pushing the curtain out the way only to let out a sigh of frustration as he saw the backyard was empty too. Kamari then turned and looked at Kiyana. 

“Where’s my dad?” He muttered and he walked over to the table to sit down next to his baby brother, who was in the high chair starting to get fussy again as he chewed on his hand..” Kiyana sighed and grabbed both of their plates off the kitchen counter and brought it over to the table. Once she sat the plates down Kaiden, who had been sulkily looking out of the glass  door, came over and sat down so he could eat. 

“He’s still on the road, Bean.” Kiyana said softly. 

“What! Who's gonna take me to school?”   Kamari, dropped his fork and folded his arms over his chest with a scowl that could rival his fathers. While Kamari was sulking, Kaiden started to cry. Kaiden’s crying was like a domino effect. Kaiden’s crying had triggered Kairo and he started wailing, reaching his arms out for his momma and while Kamari was usually her tough child, she even saw a couple of tears slip down his cheeks.

Kiyana sighed before scooping Kairo out of his highchair and grabbing one of her dining room chairs and moving it between her two older boys and pulling them into her lap comfortably. She quickly pulled out her phone and sent a quick text to Josh who responded almost immediately. 

To -  Boys Dad: Hey, are you busy?  From - Boys Dad: For you never  Incoming FaceTime Call from BOYS DAD 

Kiyana answered and the smile that was on Josh’s face quickly dropped. “Aye, what's with all the tears?” All three boys immediately looked towards the phone at the sound of their dads voice. “Wassup y’all?” 

“Who's gonna take me to school?” Kamari repeated his question from earlier, taking the phone out of Kiyana’s hand and holding it himself. 

“Grandma’ is coming to take you. We had this conversation Monday night, Bean. remember at dinner?”  Josh let out a sigh when his sons continued to cry. “I’m sorry. I’ll be home Friday night okay.”  She watched as her boys' tear-streaked faces softened slightly upon hearing their dad's reassurance. “And we can do whatever y’all want to do. Y’all got me for three whole days before I have to leave again.” 

Kamari and Kaiden reluctantly nodded their heads, their crying had eased up. “Alright y’all finish breakfast before Grandma gets here.” Kiyana said softly, pressing a kiss on Kamari and Kaiden’s heads. The boys nodded and blew their dad kisses before getting off of their mothers lap and eating their -now cold pancakes. 

Kiyana took Kairo upstairs to get him dressed so he could go with her mother as well. She was still on the phone with Josh who bit his lip as he looked at her through the screen. “What?” She asked after placing Kairo in his crib with some toys so she could find him an outfit. She set the phone up to where as though she didn’t have to hold it. 

“I feel like shit now, Key.” His voice came through the phone. 

“I didn’t mean to make you feel like shit Josh.” She shot back defensively. “I just thought them seeing you would calm them down and it did.”  She grabbed Kairo a couple of outfits out of his closet and started packing his diaper bag. She heard Josh smack his teeth. 

“I’m not blaming you, Kiyana damn. I'm just saying I feel like shit because I know they’re used to seeing me there on Wednesdays.” Kiyana sighed and picked up Kairo and brought him over to the changing table so she could start getting him dressed. “I miss them like crazy.” 

“They miss you too..” 

“What about you? Do you miss me?”  Kiyana sighed and tried to fight the smile from coming on her face. Something happened between them on Monday night. She didn’t know if it was just her emotions running on high or the fact that she actually missed him but she actually initiated the kiss between them. She was the one to pull him closer to her and he was the one who stopped it from going to far.

“You alright?” Josh asked her as he walked into the kitchen, his eyes dropping down to her ass that was encased in a pair of tight black biker shorts.  Kiyana nodded as she finished loading the dishwasher.

“Yeah, I'm just exhausted. The boys sleeping?” 

“Yeah, they rocked.” He laughed and walked closer to her leaning his hip against the counter so he was facing her. “You not mad at me right?” 

“No, I'm not mad at you. I’m just..” She sighed and shrugged, “I just don’t wanna lose my job over this.” She whispered and Josh nodded, now feeling guilty for losing his temper earlier. 

“He put his hands on you Kiyana. He needed to be dealt with.” Kiyana felt the tear slip down her face and before she could wipe it away, Josh stepped closer to her and cupped her cheeks in his hands, wiping away her tears with his thumbs. “I’m sorry.” 

"I know," she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper. "I just... I never wanted you to get involved."

Josh shook his head gently, his eyes locked on hers. "Kiyana, divorced or not, you're still important to me. And I wasn't about to let that bitch put his hands on you.” Kiyana sucked in a deep breath and she stood there, staring into Josh’s eyes. Josh’s eyes dropped down to her lips. 

Kiyana felt her heart rate spike and before she knew it, she was leaning up on her tippy toes connecting her lips to his. Kiyana and Josh both moaned into the kiss as it deepened. Josh gripped the back of thighs and lifted her up, placing her on the counter without breaking their kiss. 

Josh’s hands roamed over Kiyana’s body, his touch sending shivers down her spine as she arched into him. Their kiss deepened even further, as she opened her legs wider and started to pull his shirt over his head. He broke the kiss so he could take his shirt off. 

“Wait,” He panted out as she pulled him back towards her. “Key, wait.” He muttered as she started kissing on his neck. “Key, fuck.” He muttered out as she moaned into his skin when she started to grind her hips against his erection. He placed his hands on her hips, using all of his strength to stop her from grinding on him. “I don’t want you to regret this when you wake up in the morning.” He grunted out as he pushed himself away from her. 

She nodded her head, her eyes glistening with a mix of desire and disappointment. She took a deep breath, steadying herself on the counter. "You're right," she whispered, closing her eyes. “I’m sorry.” 

“You aint got nothing to be sorry for Key.” He grabbed his shirt off the kitchen floor and put it back on before looking down at his watch and cursing. “Fuck, I gotta go finish packing.” She nodded and hopped off the counter and followed him to the front door.  “I’ll see you on Friday okay.” 

“Key, you still with me?” She jumped as she heard Josh’s voice call out to her. As she looked over at the phone she could see the hickey that she left on his neck. “Kiyana?” 

“Yeah I'm still here.” She whispered, licking her lips. “And Yes, I do miss you.” 

“Good, because I miss you too.” 

Kiyana kept her head down as she went to the nurses station, ignoring the stares of her co-workers who had undoubtedly heard about the ass whooping Josh put on Elijah. 

“Don’t yall have work to do?” Debra asked, startling the two nurses who were staring at Kiyana and whispering back and forth with each other. “Go on, shoo.” She said, motioning them along with a roll of her eyes. “They acting like they never seen someone get their ass whooped before. How was your two days off?” 

Kiyana chucked and swiveled her chair so she was facing Debra. “It was cool.  Felt like old times again, just me and my boys.” 

“And Josh?” Debra asked, being her nosey self and Kiyana bit her lip and shrugged.  

“I mean he was there too. The boys wouldn’t let him leave.” Debra let out a ‘hmm’ and Kiyana furrowed her eyebrows. “What?” 

“I’m just saying, it was hella cute how he went after Dr. Daniels for you.” 

“Ms Deb…” Key trailed off with a roll of her eyes. 

“And Seeing y’all standing next to each other.” She whistled and flagged herself with her hand. “Y’all one hot couple.” 

“That got a divorce for a reason..” 

Debra raised an eyebrow, sensing Kiyana's discomfort. "I get it, I get it," she said, her voice softening. "But seriously though, it must've been nice having some time off with your boys. You needed that."

“Yeah I really did.” She whispered, biting her lip as another flash of her and Josh kissing popped in her head. 

Kiyana went through the rest of the day thinking about Josh; she had to stop herself from texting him about six different times. Instead she texted Samara who called her and literally laughed on the phone. Kiyana had hung up on her… she was not in the mood. 

As she walked back towards her station after her lunch break she was floored to see a beautiful bouquet waiting near where she normally sat. Debra gave her a teasing smile and nodded her head towards the card. Kiyana rolled her eyes and picked the card up, her heart hammering in her chest as she started to read it.

I can’t apologize enough for what I did to you, to us. But being with you the other day, I realized how much I fucked up and I hope you can find it in you to give me a chance to fix everything. Ps. sorry us Fatu men keep giving you a hard time.  Love Josh

Bedding Down For The Night (Rhett Abbott x Reader)

Summary: You and Rhett settle in as summer turns to fall

Rhett heaved a heavy sigh as he led the two calves into Abigail's stall for the night, gently guiding the two little dairy calves into the pen with their mother and her mate. He never truly liked when summer ended. Like you, he loved the way the grasses swayed in the breeze, the smells of the flowers after it rained, the sunshine, the heat, the buzz of the cicadas and the sounds of the peepers at night. Of course he loved all the fall smells, the warm dinners on a sharp, chilly night and the baked goods you and Cecelia made for the farmers' markets every year, but Rhett hated the autumn and winter blues that came with the changing of the seasons.

The male calf chewed a little at his shirt sleeve and licked Rhett's hand before he laid right down in the hay. Rhett gave him a playful scratch on the side of the head, kissing the top of it before shuttering the windows and throwing the little latchkey to close the windows and the stall gate on his way out. The horses were all set, as were the goats, the pigs and the chickens, all safe in their barns and stables for the night.

Back to the house he went, the coolness in the air evident and the few scatterings of fallen leaves already on the ground. He couldn't believe that in less than four weeks, Amy would be starting preschool at the outdoorsy-hippie school you taught at. It seemed like only yesterday she was just a tiny baby, taken in by you and Rhett and who she always called "Mommy and Daddy" instead of "Uncle and Auntie". Now she would be starting preschool in September when the leaves would be falling and the threat of winter was looming around the corner.

Up the steps he went, the front door creaking open on its hinges as he walked into the brightly lit home. He knew you were upstairs on strict bedrest but Cecelia was downstairs reading Amy and Hannah a story before dinner time.

"Hey Ma," he greeted.

"Hey Grumpy," Cecelia chuckled when she finished the story.

Amy jumped right up as Hannah carefully climbed her way down the sofa, waddle-running to her father with her Eeyore stuffie in her hands. Amy still had her little circus-clown ragdoll, taking it with her wherever she could possibly go. Luckily, Mrs. Newman and the other teachers at the school told the incoming children that they would be allowed to bring a stuffed animal or a doll from home to sleep with at naptime and would even learn to make their own.

"You two eat yet?" Rhett asked them.

"Papa made dinner," Amy answered.

"Momma still upstairs??"

Amy nodded.

"Alright, you and Hannah go get ready for baths," Rhett told her. "Gotta start goin to bed a little earlier now that school's startin for the the both of you."

Amy and Hannah both scooted up the stairs to wait for Rhett while Cecelia started on cleaning up the kitchen. "Can't believe she starts school in four weeks," he remarked, leaning against the doorframe.

"Yeah and ya'll got two more little ghouls comin up behind'em," Cecelia remarked as she began scooping the rice and asparagus into a plastic container.

Rhett groaned at the fact that already you two were expecting twin boys, the due date slowly creeping in just as the seasons did when they changed. "Yeah (y/n) was sayin something earlier about one of them resting their little butt right on top of her bladder."

"And need I remind ya'll that you used mine for a soccer ball?" Cecelia reminded him.

"Ma....."

"Your father would complain every time I had to run thirty minutes back to the house for a new pair of pants...."

"Ma......"

"........And it didn't help at all when you parked your little butt wherever you damn well pleased....."

"MOTHER!!"

Cecelia laughed as she spooned the last of the rice from the rice cooker into the container, closing the lid up and putting it away in the fridge.

"C'mon Ma," Rhett told her. "Why do you have to be so embarrassing?"

"It's my job," Cecelia answered. "And believe me, that's nothing compared to what your father, your godfather and your uncles all have on you."

Rhett felt his cheeks going hot at the thought.

When he had finished bantering back and forth with his mother and when Royal had come stumbling through the door, exhausted from having finished the day's work, Rhett went right upstairs to get Amy and Hannah ready for their baths.

As soon as the girls had been scrubbed clean and stuck in their pajamas, they both ran right back downstairs to bug their grandfather while Rhett went straight to his room. You had been holed up in his bed all day long, resting and watching one movie after another on the little tv resting on an old dresser he had decided to use for a stand.

Rhett snuck in next to you, coiling his arm around you protectively as his hand slid to your ever growing bump. "Boys are restless again?" he mumbled.

"You'd better believe it," you told him. "I couldn't even work on my knitting this afternoon. They kept using my liver as a punching bag."

Rhett stifled a laugh but he knew these next three months would drag out like the last few hours of a long road trip.

"Any news on the house?" you asked him.

"Wes FaceTimed me earlier when I was in town and told me that the dead tree on the property collapsed and almost hit the lumber truck," Rhett chuckled.

"How's Russ?"

"Still cranky," Rhett yawned, the room already having grown darker as the night had finally set in. "Nona told him he couldn't help work on the house."

"M'sure that went over like a fart in church."

You two had grown sleepier than usual, but when Rhett finally looked at his digital clock on his nightstand, he mustered what little strength he had left to go check on the girls.

Royal handed Hannah off to him as soon as he got upstairs while Amy stumbled slowly to her room. He laid Hannah right down in her pretty little bed, covering her with her pale, rosy pink and white blankets and tucking her in with her Eeyore and her little baby doll in its pink dress.

Amy had barely made it to her room when Rhett picked her up and brought her in, placing her in her bed and pulling the quilts and the crochet blanket over her. Her little circus-clown ragdoll was tucked carefully under her arm, his adorable, brightly painted face and soft, cuddly little body close to Amy's face.

Rhett kissed her goodnight and Hannah too before heading back to your room to snuggle in for the night. The two of you soon fell asleep as the movie played out and the chilly night had at last set in, you and your little family remaining cozy as ever, just as you did with every season that came and went.

This goat is not just cute, it is also vital to the female entrepreneurs in the area as the animals can withstand rising salt levels in the water, making it a more viable means of generating income in an area which has been greatly impacted by climate change.

The two boys stuck out their tongues at one another, making the girl giggle at the sight. She closed her book and set it aside as she gave her attention to the younger boys.

“Alright then, go ahead,” she said.

“And do what?” the boy on the right, Simon, asked.

“Tell me a story then, if you know any better,” she said.

“Oh now you’ve done it,” Chance, the boy on the left, sat up and elbowed his twin.

“It wasn’t my fault,” Simon elbowed his brother back.

“Hey! That hurt!” Chance said, nudging his brother back as the two of them began to fight.

Sonny rolled her eyes and made her way in between the two on the bed. They gave each other dirty looks before calming down and laying beside their sister.

“Sissy, can we ask you something?” Simon spoke up.

“What is it?” she asked.

“Chance and I, we’ve been talking about this for a while,” Simon said.

“It’s not important, Simon,” Chance said.

“It is to me, what if she gets picked?” Simon said. “I can’t have my sister taken away from me.”

“Is this about the selection tomorrow?” She asked.

“Why do they have one?” Simon asked. “Why do they take girls away from their families and force them into marriage like that?”

Sonny sighed, looking up at the ceiling as she played with her fingers.

“It’s an example,” she said. 

“What kind of example?” Chance asked.

“It’s the Capitol’s way of showing the Nation we’re ‘equal’,” she said.

“But we aren’t equal,” Chance said.

“Yeah, there’s nothing equal about this. Every year the same kind of girls get taken, paraded around on camera in some pageant, and the same girl is selected to marry,” Simon said.

“Wow, you boys are smart,” she teased. “Goodnight, my love’s.”

“Awww, so no story?” Chance said, a pout on his lips.

“You had your time, and time is up. Goodnight,” she said, kissing the boys on their heads and getting up.

“Great, thanks a lot, Simon,” Chance grumbled.

“Yeah, whatever.”

Sonny closed the door on her brothers and walked down the hallway to the kitchen. Her mother sat at the small table, reading over some paperwork as she looked up and smiled at her girl. The aroma in the air smelled like vanilla and cinnamon, which she walked over to the pot on the stove and noticed her mother was brewing some pudding. 

“Those boys are so curious these days,” Sonny said.

“Hm, they’re just like you,” her mom said.

“I am my mother’s daughter,” she said, taking a seat across from her mother. “What’s that?”

“Just some of the farm expenses, looking over the recent year and,” her mother began and sighed. “Trying to figure out what to do.”

Right. Her father usually took care of the farming as her mother looked over expenses and documents. Her father barely knew how to read and so it was up to her mother most of the time. Her father was the backbone of the farm, an amazing worker. He worked until his very last breath on their farm. Now that he’s been gone, Sonny and her best friend, Jake, have been the only ones able to tend to the farm. Though it seemed like half the farm died along with her father, and they haven’t been making much income lately.

“Can we afford more cows?” Sonny asked. 

A month after her father passed away, so did most of their cows. They were all infected by a disease caused by contaminated  grass. Cows who were pregnant lost their babies, and then they followed after. They went from 50 cows to only 15, and they haven’t been able to conceive. 

“I don’t think it’s possible right now,” her mother said.

“What about goats? We can switch to goats and sell goat cheese instead,” Sonny suggested.

“That would make things a bit easier, but goats are harder to take care of,” her mother said. “Whatever, I’ll figure it out. Are you nervous about tomorrow?”

“Why would I be? Every year I register and every year I haven’t been picked. I’m not the ideal candidate,” Sonny waved off her mother’s concern. “I’ll be fine.”

It was the day of the Selection. Girls who are the ages between 19-25 have to register their names in a raffle, a raffle to be selected for one of the ten spots in a race for a Prince’s heart. Every year, their Nation hosts this pageant for their ally Nations, and every year one of the Prince’s participate and choose a bride from this. Every year it’s the same routine. Every girl has a “chance” to get a spot, but only those who really get the spots are from the top 3 factions. Either the new Princess comes from the Banker’s, the Just, or the Arts. The civil servants, the farmers, and your Militia do not have a place at their table. 

It isn’t a fair draw, but Sonny has never complained as she has no desire to participate in anything as disgusting as this. This Nation was built on a woman who was tired of the abuse and discrimination, only for the Nation to go back to that and keep those below in oppression. The faction system is ridiculous and unjust. You are not allowed to go down a faction. Your factions are places you are born into and must stay in. No one is allowed to mix, you are what you are. 

It’s unfair.

“This is stupid,” Jake said as he stood next to his friend in the line. “Why do they force you guys to register if you guys don’t get picked anyways?”

“You’re asking me,” Sonny scoffed. “Remember, it’s a ‘fair’ game.”

“This is just a waste of time,” Jake said, rolling his eyes.

“It’s fine. I’ll register real fast and then we can go down to the lake, okay?” Sonny said, taking her friend's hand and squeezing it.

His heart raced quicker as she touched him and he could have sworn her smile saved a dozen swans. 

“Name?” The guard spoke as Jake and Sonny got to the front of the line.

“Sunflower Clyde,” she said.

“Is that your real name?” the guard asked, looking at her funny. 

“Is that your real face?” Jake said and Sonny nudged him with her elbow.

“Don’t mind him, here,” she said, handing the man her identification card.

“Alright,” he said, scanning the card and handing it back. “All done. Good luck!”

“Yeah, thanks,” she said. 

She took Jake’s arm and walked away down the path back out of the City and towards the fields. The two of them spend most of their time either on the farm or at the lake. She likes to read to him as he fishes, and he just likes to be in her presence. Jake has always loved Sonny. He knew eventually it would be them to get married and he could help her run the farm just like he did with his father’s garden. He just had to man up and actually tell her how he feels and pray for the best.

“Are you ever afraid of getting caught with your books?” Jake asked suddenly, as he held his fishing pole in his hand. 

“Mmm, not really. People don’t normally come out this way,” Sonny said, shrugging her shoulders. 

“But what if someone did one day and they see you? What would you do?” he asked.

“I’d kill them before they kill me,” she said, smirking at him.

“Oh, so we’re killers now?” Jake asked, raising an eyebrow at her.

“Maybe that’s the key to happiness,” she said.

“Becoming a murderer?” he gasped, gawking at her.

She just laughed.

“Haven’t you ever wondered what it’d be like to kill someone?” she asked.

“No…” he said. 

“Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do,” she said.

“Wow, who knew you were such a little psycho,” he said. 

“Would you still like me if I was a psychopath?” she asked.

“I’d still have you as my best friend,” he said, looking at her. “You can even make me your victim and I’d let you.”

“Oh now who is the masochist here?” she said, nudging him.

“I’m serious,” he said. “You can do whatever you want and I’d still think you’re the most precious person on this planet.”

He reached over, and moved some of the hair out of her face, caressing her face slightly. Her breath hitched in her throat as she stared at her best friend. He was always so handsome that she knew. But as she sat close to him now, their faces inches apart, she couldn’t help but feel a spark. Just as they leaned in, his pole nudged signaling he caught a fish. Jake jolted, quickly grabbing the pole from loosening out of his grip as he pulled back and began reeling the fish in.

“Oh come on! Not now!” Jake cursed out.

Sonny giggled at him as she began to cheer him on. The boy who loved to fish and was born to catch his fish.

The two of them walked down together towards Sonny's house by the edge of the lake, where her farm was. Jake had caught two fish that day, proud of his achievement. Not only was he proud of his achievement, he made progress with Sonny and he knew she felt the same. He was planning on confessing before the end of the night. He could finally take her off the market and register their marriage so she’d never have to deal with any more of the Selection ever again. He could save her and have her all for himself. But just as they got to her house as the sun was going down, they noticed a black car outside. Sonny frowned in confusion as she walked up to the house and walked inside. When she and Jake walked inside there stood two men in suits. Her mother sat at the table crying.

“Mother? What’d you do?” She asked, her voice laced with anger as she ran to her mother.

“Sunflower Clyde?” one of the men said. 

“Yeah?” she asked.

“No! You can't take her! I won’t let you!” Chance came rushing out from the hallway with his toy sword and began to try to hit one of the men with it. He failed.

“I am Min and this is Jung, we are from the Capitol,” the man said, holding out a card with the Royal crest on it. “You have been selected for this year's pageant. Congratulations!”Sonny’s eyes went wide as her breath caught in her throat. Her eyes filled with tears as she stood there in horror and disbelief. This can’t be happening.

mytoragus are a genus of extinct goat-antelopes that used to live on the Balearic Islands till about 4500 or so years ago that had about six species attributed to it. One of which is the magnificent M.balearicus who was known for being just the greatest thing to ever come out of the primordial soup in my opinion:

Anyways these particular little dudes apparently were funkier than anyone else on their family tree due to the fact that they weren't all that great at jumping [if they even could at all thanks to those inelastic ligaments wrapped around their feet] and pretty much only shuffled about as they went about their day snacking on boxwood.

Not to mention that their sense of sight, smell and hearing weren't all that great either. But it was cool bc there wasn't really anything snacking on these guys anyway to warrant such unnecessary senses.

They grew slowly, managing to get to an estimated 50cm tall at the shoulder [that's like...less than a border collie in some instances lol such a tiny lad!]

Some modern AU related Johan et Pirlouit headcanons incoming!

Peewit blasts music almost all the time, annoying anyone who lives with him.

His favorite music to blast is metal, 80s hair metal, and grunge, the metal blasting is especially annoying for his roommate, Johan. He's usually the first person to tell him to turn it down.

Even Peewit's attempt at singing screamy metal music is terrible. No one knew how the roaring and screaming in a metal track can be off key until they heard HIM singing it lol.

He's even worse at singing 80s metal. His rendition of Welcome to the Jungle makes windows crack.

Peewit is actually pretty good at playing guitar and drums. It's mostly the singing he ain't good at. And recorder, but no one's that good at playing the recorder anyway lol.

Johan learned to play the piano when he was young and he has a fascination with synthesizers. He picked up an old beat up Yamaha DX-7 from a garage sale and got Homnibus's student, Oliver, to fix it up. He plays it a LOT.

Peewit more than likely has a soundcloud he posts his music to. He gets nothing but meme comments tho. His instrumental tracks do get actual good comments though, but he rarely makes those unless he's collabing with someone.

If we're talking 90s AU, then Peewit more than likely has a geocities page filled with photos of his goat, Biquette, dancing baby gifs, and shitty wav files of his attempts at making music.

Peewit's favorite music is pretty much anything with electric guitars, but especially grunge and hair metal. Johan is more into synthesizers and folk music. He's got a lot of new wave records and multiple folk music cassettes.

Both Johan and Peewit can sometimes be seen walking around their apartment in the nude (or at least in their underwear) when it's laundry day. Johan will at LEAST make an attempt to look decent if someone visits during those days. Peewit, however, has to be TOLD to put some fresh clean clothes on.

Johan went through an "I only wear black" phase during college and his favorite shirt ended up being a see through button up shirt be bought at Hot Topic. Girls and guys alike LOVED when he wore it at the time, but he'd be too busy with his studies half the time to even accept anyone's offers for a date. After college, he lost the shirt, and could only find similar shirts in other colors and with short sleeves. So he's got several see through shirts of various colors. He mainly wears them during warm days.

Count Tremaine was Johan's professor in his criminal justice classes. They sometimes run into each other in town outside of college.

Peewit once convinced Johan to play a synthesizer and sing in front of a camera and post it on Youtube in an attempt to lessen his singing shyness. The positive comments he got were enough to make him blush. He's done this more than once but still hardly sings in front of anyone in person unless he's especially close to someone (particularly if he's in a romantic relationship with them).

Johan likely earned a black belt in judo at one point. Don't mess with him lol.

Johan starred in a musical during college, but it took a LOT of time for him to even consider it. This actually helped him a lot with both overcoming his singing shyness (more than the youtube gig really) as well as his public speaking abilities. First role he got then was as Frederic in the Pirates of Penzance. Peewit auditioned for the role of the Major General but that role was given to someone else.

One of my middle names is after my mom’s great-grandmother.

2. When was the last time you cried?

I don’t know specifically but probably early this month; the holidays were giving me a hard time and I was missing home a lot.

3. Do you have kids?

Who tf do you think I am?? the tumbkr population is aging but not that much!! And, in this economy??

4. Do you use sarcasm a lot?

My family runs on it, so yes.

5. What’s the first thing you notice about people?

Now I’m being asked about it? Idk. Probably hair or maybe scent (especially perfume/cologne - I’m sensitive to scent and don’t like them).

Depends on the light, usually like, pale blue.

7. Scary movies or happy endings?

Happy endings. Scary movies are too much for me, I find them unpleasant overall. And just because you have a happy ending doesn’t mean you don’t have tragedy and hardship before it, that’s what makes it worth finishing.

I’m pretty good with animals and babies, apparently, but other than that idk. I can cross my eyes? Lol

Not of my own; my family has like. A small zoo. Ten? Cats, dogs, and some budgies we ended up with because they were lost and unclaimed at the shelter and we have a little experience with birds. Oh, and am ancient, belligerent Pygmy goat.

I swam competitively year-round when I was a kid for probably over ten years; not super talented or anything like my friends who’ve gone to trials, but because it was fun. I stopped mostly around late middle school, did a final two summer leagues, then quit for good. I also used to dance (11 years, 10 of them ballet) casually. And I had started a volleyball class right at the start of the pandemic then couldn’t finish it for obvious reasons. I’d love to pick up archery again, or kyuudo specifically.

5’7” or thereabouts, I get a different number every time a nurse who’s shorter than me measures 🤷🏼

14. Favorite subject in school

English and history, I always really enjoyed history as a kid and through high school, and then grew into my love of English later on as I grew into an interest in writing as well as reading. Monkey read, monkey do. I also really enjoyed art, particularly in high school. I took all the offered classes and then did an independent study and was kind of the one art teacher’s… mot favorite, but something close to it.

15. Dream job

I don’t know, frankly. Doing whatever I want and getting paid to do it? Like, whatever strikes my mood as I feel like it, be it writing, editing, something like library clerking and potentially programming, something creative with a more physically tangible product, teaching. The flexibility to live and also hop around. I used to think it was writing, but I don’t think I’d like writing anymore if it were my main source of income.

Happy Mabel Fun Time Land! I did a triple take when Mabel said that in the bubble, “the party will never end”. That’s what Bill said too that’s why he’s doing everything. Oh. Oh he was making a Mini-Bill over eternity. Fucked up. Also fucked up how Not-Wendy wanted Dipper to take her hand. Making a deal. Fndkgnsk ajgnskgkak. Also kinda funny how half a week has passed but only in Gravity Falls, the entire outside world is unaffected. Also also how did the cartoon bros escape. What. Also also also is the title a reference to hit movie Madagascar 2: Escape to Africa?

Part 3/4:

Welcome back wax guy and Multibear! Also holy fuck, ANIME. SHACKTRON. THE OLD MEN MEET AGAIN OGNEOGJWO. THE CIRCLE FINALLY RETURNS (though I can’t help but feel that Pacifica and Wendy were hammed in. At least Fiddleford was wearing the new glasses for several episodes now. Ice meaning cool and Pacifica only wearing the llama sweater that episode feels like too little for them. Also Stan and Stan fucked up the circle and now Bill’s gonna torture them all. Oh. Oh. Oh. The series finale next episode. Ohohohoohohohohoh

Part 4/4 (apparently Part 3 and Part 4 were aired back to back so technically still Part3/3):

It’s over.

I know that if I hadn’t been spoiled on Stanley’s switch nor on his recovery, I would’ve been bawling. I teared up at the part where Mabel doesn’t want to part with Waddles, like you can’t do that to me. Even as a fakeout you can’t force a girl to part with her pet pig

The credits were nice, forgot about Dipper 3 and Dipper 4. Nice to see that they are content with their lives in the woods. Also those moments between the family? That’s sweet. Also nice to see both Stan’s threaten the bus driver for Waddles, really cool of both of them. Overall, it’s a touching note for the series to end on.

When Bill turned into the statue I gasped and pointed like that one meme. That’s the thing from the ARG hunt and the Book of Bill I think

TLDR if I hadn’t been spoiled on major plot points (especially the later ones), I would’ve enjoyed it more. Even so, I still enjoyed this series a great deal, and I’m glad I took the time to watch it.

Oh and also minor note, the furthest episode aired that I watched as a kid appears to be Season 2 Episode 7: Society of the Blind Eye. Everything after I hadn’t watched before. Final calculations incoming beep boop beep

Chapter One: My Best Friend is a Goat and You Don’t Want To Know About the Math Teacher

The first time that I realized that my roommate wasn’t human, I will admit I considered calling my mom and asking her to pick me up.

We’d moved in together on a Sunday, the day before school started. Officially, it was because the teachers hadn’t arrived until the day before, but I figured it was so we didn’t have time to get into trouble before the semester even started. I wasn’t complaining, I wanted more time to spend with my mom before I wouldn’t be seeing her for months. Even if it meant dealing with Smelly Gabe, my asshole of a step-dad. I put up with him for my mom, afterall it was hard on her before he showed up trying to provide for us on only one income and what I could scrounge for with the odd job from our neighbors. And it seemed she really cared about him, despite how sometimes her scent flashed with fear. It never stayed for long though, so I just kept an eye on the situation.

Anyway, I had arrived first and set up my side of the room away from the window so there wasn’t anyone between me and the exit. I didn’t know what type of person my roommate was going to be after all, and I didn’t like being boxed in. But I didn’t have to worry about that, as the guy who walked through the door as I was hanging up my "shark tooth" collection box was definitely not a threat.

"Oh, hey man. I’m Grover…um, Grover Underwood? Are you Perseus?" He might have been taller than me if he wasn’t bending over crutches, trying to balance a box in one hand.

I reached out to grab it for him before it fell, before realizing part way through I shouldn’t just go grabbing at people’s things. "Do you want help with your stuff? You can just call me Percy." 

He relaxed as he held out the box for me to take, watching as I put it on the bed for him. It was open at the top and when I peered inside, bad habit of curiosity, I saw a collection of succulents like the "plant mom" in the apartment below us had. Aside from knowing they were called succulents, I had no idea what any of them were. "Don’t worry, they don’t really have any pollen if you’re allergic."

I waved him off even though I appreciated the thought. "Nah, man, I just wasn’t sure what you didn’t trust the orientation leaders to move. My mom helped me with most of my stuff, but I had to stop some of them from grabbing some boxes too."

Grover smiled with all his teeth and despite my earlier assessment, I almost bared my own at the threat. I had to take a deep breath to remind myself that was just how some people smiled. "Cool." 

We settled into a comfortable conversation after that, talking about schools we’d been too. Apparently Grover had been to quite a few himself, though no where as many as me. He didn’t seem like he was judging when he brought it up, turning it more into how stupid the system was and how schools never really accommodated his crutches as much as his guardian hoped.

"It was a lot worse when I was younger, if you can imagine. Some schools didn’t have elevators if they were old enough." He shuddered as if imagining all the times he had to climb up and down those stairs. 

I tried not to laugh, but a snort got through before I could help it. It wasn’t that I thought his struggles were funny, but I could just imagine baby Grover with his oversized crutches glaring at the stairs all dramatic like. I went to explain, but he waved me off. 

"You don’t seem like the type," he said as if that explained everything. 

That was my first clue that something was wrong. Humans just didn’t seem to understand my humor most of the time, thinking it was too dark or not giving me time to explain what I found funny. But those who were part of the world we didn’t talk about, that we didn’t give names to, like the pretty women in the water who liked to braid me seaweed crowns with shells or the ones in the trees who thanked me for cleaning up the trash around their roots in Central Park—they let me explain. They were patient and even when they didn’t understand, they would just ask if I meant to be mean and if I said no, they would believe me. 

There were others too, but I didn’t really think about them as much. They made my mom nervous.

So the idea of someone being so accepting of me, of wanting to be my friend right away without even getting to know me first, it set off alarm bells. I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt, perhaps he wasn’t what I thought he was. Maybe he wasn’t sent here for me. Maybe he wasn’t a satyr. 

Then I saw him on enchilada day in the cafeteria, his shoes basically slipping off his feet as he moved faster than humanly possible to get to the front of the line. I slipped out into the hallway feeling like someone was sitting on my chest and doing some monster reverse CPR, stealing all of my air. I could feel the panic rising into my throat as my brain screamed at me to call my mother. Tell her they found me. Tell her goodbye, after all, why would they let me go when they realized what I was? Best to keep me where they could keep an eye on me under the guise of ‘training’. 

My instincts stopped me, though. Something deep in my gut telling me I didn’t have to run from Grover, at least not yet. To stick around and see what happened. When I finally got my lunch, I expected Grover to have finished already, maybe be saving me a seat somewhere no one else wanted to sit. 

"Hey Percy!" And yet, there he was, sitting at a table right by the door, with his crutches and bag saving me a seat despite that table being a prime spot for some of the more popular kids. They loved to stick their legs out to trip people who had to walk by them to leave. He was blatantly ignoring Nancy Bobofit throwing apple slices at him, even going as far as to catch one and pop it in his mouth while staring directly at me. 

"Hey G-man," I said with a wide grin as I slid into my seat next to him feeling lighter than I had all week. "You a big fan of enchiladas then? I thought you had a note for gym, but guess you got some super secret skills." 

He shrugged as he brought a forkful to his mouth, drawing my eye to his still full plate. It must have grown cold while he was waiting for me. My brain finally shut up. "Enchiladas, man. Worth being sore for, you know?" He wrinkled his nose at the sight of my hamburger, which wasn’t a surprise considering it was barely cooked. I had a deal with the lunch ladies after all, they wouldn’t question my food choices as long as I didn’t die and I wouldn’t question what they were growing in the gardens under the headmaster’s nose.

I had seen reactions from disgust, to concern, to blatantly ignoring my plate. Grover looked at my mostly raw burger, saw the red juices making the bun soggy, and wrinkled his nose. "I don’t get how you can eat that, it used to be a cow you know." I grinned sharply, half expecting him to flinch away but he rolled his eyes at me as I took a big bite and hummed happily. "You could at least get your dead animal away from my enchiladas." 

The first time I realized our new math teacher wasn’t human was the second she walked in the door announcing that she was our new teacher. "He was weak willed and had a nervous breakdown, which I find pathetic. You won’t find the same weakness in me."

I almost laughed at how obvious she was being, but that would have drawn attention to myself and my mom always reminded me not to do that. I mean, what else could a demon grandmother who looks like she drives her motorcycle into lockers and runs over students for fun be but a monster? If she wasn’t teaching at Yancy, I might have believed her to just be a funny old woman, but I had never seen any of the faculty wear anything but business attire for the first month of classes and she strolled in with a leather jacket without anyone questioning it? 

Monster. 

What really startled me about seeing a monster at Yancy was how frequently Grover tried to step between us. He would ask questions if her gaze turned to me, sitting on the opposite side of the room because of course she’d change the seating chart. He’d throw a pencil at Nancy Bobofit’s desk and get her to whip around to see who it was, drawing Mrs. Dodd’s into comforting her favorite student. 

Despite Grover’s best efforts, she was always singling me out in class. Once, after a late night detention, I even mentioned that I didn’t think she was human. Grover, being the absolute legend he was, agreed without hesitation. 

"Thanks man. You’re my best friend, you know that right?" I might have fallen asleep before he could respond, but he seemed to be having a good morning when I woke up so I had hope he thought the same. Even if he was most likely a goat boy. 

So to summarize, so far my best friend is half goat and my math teacher is a demon-grandmother most likely intent on eating me if she ever gets the chance. I wasn’t sure why she was waiting, it wasn’t like I was hiding from her, but we got to the field trip to the MET, or Metropalition Museum of Art for those of you who aren’t New Yorkers or live under a rock, before anything happened. 

We listened to Mr. Brunner, the latin teacher who held us at sword point while we did review and was one of my favorite people at Yancy, talk about the entire Greek and Roman section before we finally settled in front of a young girl’s steele. 

I was only half listening as Nancy kept shoving my shoulder with her own even when I tried moving away from her. I knew that if I snapped at her, it would be my fault somehow that Mr. Brunner got interrupted. I mean yes, I would have been the one to talk but… "Would you cut that out?" 

Mr. Brunner didn’t even flinch as he wheeled around to look at me. "Mr. Jackson, did you have something to say?" He always looked at me like he expected me to rise to his expectations, no matter how many times I failed to meet them. It was nice for someone to believe in me besides my mom. Grover didn’t count, he wasn’t an adult. "Would you like to explain what this scene represents?"

I stepped forward to get a better look at what he was pointing out when I felt irony push a laugh into my throat. I coughed it down, wouldn’t do to tip everyone off that I though this was funny. "That’s the titan lord devouring his kids, the gods. He received a prophecy that one of them would kill him and take over as king, so he decided to eat them all. He missed the youngest and so he freed his siblings and they klled the titan lord." 

"How does this matter? What job is going to ask us why Kronos ate his kids on our resume?" Nancy and her friends giggled behind their hands, but quickly shut up when Mr. Brunner’s gaze shifted to them. 

Grover snorted. "Busted." 

"Mr. Jackson, do you have an answer to Ms. Bobofit’s question? The first one, if you will." Of course Mr. Brunner wouldn’t let me get sassy and say ‘the MET might need tour guides, you know’ and wanted me to give a real answer. 

I stared at the steele as I tried to come up with an answer that would satisfy him. All prophecies are self fulfilling? Abusing your kids is a bad idea because they might end up killing you? Abusing anyone is a bad idea because they might end up killing you? I ended up shrugging and avoiding his gaze. "I don’t know, sir." 

There are a lot of things in my life that I hate. I hate Smelly Gabe and the way he seeped into every part of my life, until even months into school I can still smell him on me even if no one else can. I hate that my dad can’t come visit or even send a sign to let us know that he’s watching because if he does, I will be known. And I can’t be known. 

But one of the things I hate the most is when I lose control. 

"Percy pushed me!" Nancy screamed from her spot in the fountain. 

"Did you see—?"

"She flew back—" 

"Did he even—?" 

"The water—" 

Grover didn’t even flinch, despite how precise my powers were in my anger. How the tendrils wrapped around her ankle and up her leg while no one was paying attention. He simply stepped between me and Mrs. Dodds when she arrived, her scent spicy in a way it hadn’t been in months. "I did it! I pushed her!" 

Something inside me screamed No! Mine! at the thought of Grover taking my punishment, but another purred at how brave my saytr was to defend me against a monster. "It’s okay," I assured him, "I got this." 

He didn’t look like he believed me, but he let me go all the same. I was right to chose him. He was a really good friend, my best friend, and now he was stuck with me forever. 

I made my way up the steps into the museum, not even bothering to let Mrs. Doods lead as I made my way to the Greek and Roman section. "It’s fitting, don’t you think? That they have the two together." 

"You know why I’m here, honey, so why don’t you just hand it over and I’ll make it quick." Her lips were black when I glanced over my shoulder, but she wasn’t fully transformed yet. I had time. "Or I can take you to my lord and he can tear you to shreds a thousand times."

I shrugged. "I don’t know what you’re talking about, I don’t have anything. I’ve been here, at school, all year." I picked at the skin around my nails, admiring the pretty green Grover had painted them for me last weekend. He’d gotten a lot better at it. 

"Insolent child, I will revel in your blood!" 

Another thing I hate is being caught off guard, being watched when I didn’t know. Mr. Brunner showing up as I was shoving Mrs. Dodd’s leather jacket into my backpack was unexpected, as was the sword in his hand. 

I made sure not to turn in his direction when I left, allowing him the peace of mind that he was hidden by the entrance of the exhibit. But I could still smell his fear souring the air, though it wasn’t as pungent as I expected from what I thought was a human. I hated being wrong.

I had figured this was an annoying issue of the table being "too far" from where the cooking is done, like in another room. But I made a house with the table RIGHT THERE by the stove and the sim STILL just stood in front of the stove and ate there. like an idiot lol Active Sims obsessed with cooking waffles/pizza - yup they'll eat waffles then immediately make more waffles. i mean i get it… i do… mmm waffles… Keep going outside during storms - yup and to do nothing. there might be something to do outdoors and there might not. either way the sims will go with nothing queued and just stand there till they get struck by lightning. recently I even had a sim who was indoors somehow not register as being indoors?? and he had to go outside and come back in… Sims hold umbrella while swimming in ocean Lifestyle Outdoorsy: gets negative moodlet for being inside while outside - Y'ALL KNOW THIS ONE REALLY GETS MY GOAT Can't cook on campfire when simple living applied - happy to see others beside me upset about this one. it just. does not make sense Treehouses can't be built in community lots

And those are only bugs I'm experiencing right now and doesn't even cover all of them x'D for example there are a ton of build mode bugs I keep encountering. Also I didn't check off bugs that I encounter but don't consider a big deal (like sims not washing dishes, since I can click and drag them to the sink myself), because the list would be way longer then. There are also others on the list that I used to get but don't anymore. And I'm so surprised I didn't see any about the constant sims getting struck by lightning during the VERY frequent storms!

One thing I found that kinda "bugs" me: whenever someone complais about a cheat not working, the response is that we're not "supposed" to be using cheats so fixing them isn't important. But IMHO Sims 4 is completely unplayable without cheats. How are you supposed to complete aspirations or get promotions when those things are bugged beyond use without cheats? How are you supposed to pay incorrectly exorbitant bills that are higher than your household income? How are you supposed to get rid of stubborn moodlets that never expire? How are you supposed to save your sim from death when they somehow route into a crevice but can't route out?

Simmers need cheats. Not because we're cheater. Because the game. Is. Broken. xP
